Reporting Wildlife Violations

Here is a list of phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and or websites you can contact to report wildlife violations for each state. You can also contact the United States Fish & Wildlife Service, Office of Law Enforcement at http://www.le.fws.gov. A word of caution - as much as you may want to, interfering in any way with legal hunting practices is against the law in many states (maybe all of them). This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Frightening wildlife (so it is no longer a target for hunters).
  2. Harassing hunters that are obeying the law.
  3. Stepping into the line of fire.
  4. Putting up blockades.

When reporting a wildlife violation, try to provide as much information as possible. In general, most states ask that you provide the following:

  • Your name, address, and phone number.
  • What happened (type of violation)?
  • Where did it happen (as specific as possible)?
  • Time and date of incident.
  • Description of people involved; as much information as you have: vehicle types and license plate numbers, names, ages, addresses, etc., which way suspects were traveling.

= Georgia has taken down their website on reporting wildlife violations. Neither will they respond to my inquiries. They do not seem to take it seriously.
